Born in Hedeby in 920 AD to a ship builder and his slave, Olgar was formerly adopted by his father and promplty fostered to his sucessful raider/farmer uncle. After a few years of raiding and learning to be a gentleman farmer, Olgar decided the life of a professional soldier was more to his tastes and joined the warband of Jarl Baldar, where the blood and ale flow like water through a fjord.
